Sarah is the original occupational therapist who set up Barefoot as a private part time practice for herself back in 2011. These days she is an Animal Assisted Therapy Educator and includes meditation and family programs into her farm-based clinical OT work.
The rest of the time she wrangles her 2 boys and oversees all the animals and the Practice in general, including staff development and wellbeing. She loves nothing more than time away at the Murray river with her family.
Bronwyn is our practice manager who has been working alongside Sarah at Barefoot Therapists since 2018. As the business has grown and evolved, so has Bronwyn’s role within the team. With a background in Childcare & Early intervention services, Bronwyn enjoys working with children and their families.
Outside of her work hours, Bronwyn is a wife & mum to 2 children. Bronwyn fills her cup by regular walking, family adventures, Pilates, spending time at the beach and attending concerts and stage shows/musicals.

Amy has more than 5 years’ experience as an OT mostly in the Specialist Education setting.
An area of interest for her is Self-Regulation and giving children the strategies to take control of how they handle their emotions. She is also a qualified Animal-Assisted Therapist with her dog Bear (pictured) who is a frequent visitor to the clinic.
When she’s not at work, you will find her cooking up a storm, painting, surfing, going for runs with Bear or going on weekend getaways in her van!
Occupational Therapist & Equine Assisted Therapist
Luci has been working as an Occupational Therapist for more than 8 years, starting out working with adults. She has since found her passion for combining horses and therapy together.
When working with children, she loves seeing them achieve their goals but more so, working with kids that find the clinic environment challenging and yet absolutely thrive at the farm.
Outside of work, you will find her with her horses, going for walks on the beach or eating pizza.
Lara has been an Occupational Therapist for more than 23 years. She took time off my career to raise her own three children, which has been her greatest education.
Her professional development has included trainings such as DIR Floortime, Circle of Security parenting, and SOS feeding. Her areas of interest include sensory and emotional regulation, caregiver education, and feeding. What she loves most is seeing children and families thrive.
In DIR Floortime she looks for ‘the gleam in the eye’. Seeing joy in children’s faces is her main goal. When she’s not at work she loves going on adventures with her husband and kids, swimming in the ocean, and eating delicious food!
Kara is our speech pathology team leader! She has spent her career working with children with disabilities and their families and couldn’t imagine doing anything else. She loves working with children of all ages and has a special interest in supporting children with limited or restricted diets.

Miranda studied a Bachelor of Occupational Therapy (Honours) at Monash University, and first worked in the NDIS space amongst all ages and disabilities. From here, her love for working with children grew and she decided to come on board and join the team at Barefoot. She loves to embrace her creative side, and uses this as a fun way to engage children in a range of environments. When she’s not at work, you can find her with her miniature dachshund Louie (or patting every other dog I see), putting on big dinners for her friends and traveling as much as possible around Australia and the world.
Miranda has trained as an Animal Assisted Therapist and combining her love for animals with therapy ❤
Penny has worn quite a few hats in her career journey. From vet nurse, paediatric nurse, to well-being facilitator at an aged care facility. Her diverse background has shaped her approach to occupational therapy.
She absolutely loves learning and exploring current evidence-based inventions. She thrives on making therapy personal, incorporating activities that truly resonate with each client. Being a part of a child’s and family’s journey is a privilege, and she cherishes celebrating the wins and navigating the challenges together. Her goal is to support each client in becoming the best version of themselves.
Outside of work, you’ll find her spending quality time with her family and friends, or indulging in yoga, meditation, reading or listening to podcasts. Recently making the move to Rosebud, she is enjoying the natural beauty of the Mornington Peninsula. She’s looking forward to learning more about your passions and interests.
